Megan Murphy received a Bachelor of Fine Art from Marylhurst University in 1993,and then went on to study theology at Mt. Angel Abbey with Benedictine Monks for three years. She completed her Master of Art in Theology in 1995.
Megan went to work Arts department at the Sun Valley Center for the Arts in different capacities for several years, finally directing the visual arts programming. She has had over fifteen solo exhibitions, participated in numerous group exhibitions, and is represented by PDX Contemporary Art in Portland, Oregon, and Ochi Fine Art in Sun Valley, Idaho. She lives in Spokane, Washington with her daughter Murphy Kendall in order to be closer to the empty space that is her content in her paintings and drawings.
Artocracy is her attempt to make art and the wonder of living with art more accessible and educational for all.
