This is a great article on framing art inexpensively...I am not convinced about the afforadibilty of 5,000 to 10,000 for art for most people, but at least it attempts to relate to a different art person. Regardless there are some great ideas.

AS its name suggests, the Affordable Art Fair is the sort of place where even those with modest budgets can find something to take home. At this year’s event, which opens today and runs through May 10 at 7 W New York, the designer showroom building at 7 West 34th Street, prices begin at $100, with most of the work going for less than $5,000 and nothing over $10,000.
“It’s really an equalizer for the art world,” said Helen Allen, who oversees the event in New York . (It is also held at other times of the year in cities like Brussels, London, Paris and Sydney.)
Ms. Allen called it a good site for both the first-time buyer and the experienced collector seeking a bargain.
But what to do with that new art once you get it home?
